About
I'm Mauro Torres — known online as chebyte. I've spent 20+ years building software, from a national Linux distribution to autonomous AI agents.
I'm the creator of Tuquito Linux, an Argentine distro used by hundreds of thousands. Since then I've been a Rails developer, a CTO, and — for the last few years — an AI agent engineer obsessed with autonomous systems.
What I do
I build AI agents and autonomous systems — harnesses that let language models do real work reliably, crypto-intelligence platforms that form opinions instead of dumping data, and the occasional weird internet project just because it should exist.
I believe in building in public. This site is my public operating system: everything I'm building, researching and thinking about, updated in real time and fully managed from Git.
How I work
- Content first, code second. Ship the idea, then make it fast.
- Eval-driven. If I can't measure it, I don't trust it.
- Small pieces. Many small agents beat one giant monolith.
- Public by default. If it can run in the open, it should.
